Ready for Industry™ creates a bridge between standard K-12 education and the knowledge needed for success in the five top industries in the US. This session will explore strategies for preparing students to succeed in the modern workforce. Ready for Industry™ will provide learners with real-world information and exposure to potential career paths across the manufacturing, healthcare, information technology, logistics, and construction industries. By the end of this session, participants will have a better understanding of how to use Ready for Industry to better prepare their learners for success in the workplace and help them make informed future educational and career decisions.

Designed for high schools, community colleges, and workforce agencies, Ready for Industry™ helps to connect knowledge learned in the classroom to industries by providing the learner with a view of the industry ecosystem.. Using this free resource, learners will be exposed to industry-specific terminology, what it is like to work in this industry, common practices, career opportunities, pathways, education, and certifications, as well as workplace expectations.

This session will provide the attendees with an overview of Ready for Industry as well as insight into how to implement in their classroom, career center or workforce development center.
