Participants will learn effective implementation strategies to generate meaningful mathematical discourse by using the step 1 activities in the enVision curriculum.
This session is about the journey of being hesitant to fully implement Savvas (Is it too hard? My students struggle with this! This is different from how I've always taught math!) to embracing the curriculum and implementing it with fidelity into the secondary mathematics classroom.....and seeing and loving the growth that students exhibited. The teacher will share her journey of the transition from using the curriculum as a homeschool mom to implementing it into her 7th grade classroom (even when she was scared). It will highlight the support she received from her admin, PLC, coworkers, and Savvas coaching as well as the best practices that she learned from Savvas coaches and trial and error.
